Swakop by-election set for May 29

Following the death of Regional Councillor Germina Shitaleni, a by-election will be held at Swakopmund on May 29. Supplementary voter registration will take place this week from April 1-3 at seven fixed points and five temporary points around the coastal town. The points (see below) are open from 08h00 to 19h00. The supplementary registration is only for those people who do not currently have voters cards, such as those who have turned 18 recently. The nomination of candidates for the by-election will take place on April 16 2015 from 09h00 to 11h00 at the Swakopmund constituency office. The seven fixed registration points are:
1. Town Hall, Tamariskia
2. Old Municipal Management Committee Room
3. Mahetago Hall
4. Meduletu Community Hall
5. DRC school, project & community centre
6. Swakopmund State Hospital
7. Hanganeni Primary School
Temporary points are:
1. International Youth Hostel (April 1-2)
West Side High School (April 3)
2. Atlantic Junior Secondary School (April 1-2)
Coastal High School Mondesa (April 3)
3. Swakopmund Prison (April 1-2)
Swakopmund Old Age Home (April 3)
4. Kerklike Maatskaplike Raad Saal (April 1-2)
Swakopmund Primary School (April 3)
5. Swakop River (April 1)
Nonidas (April 2)
Cottage Hospital (April 3)
